Paper Bag and Washi Tape Heart Bunting

Hi friends! Have I told you lately that I’m so glad you are here? I have to say, when I started this blog I never expected to reach so many people. I thought my mom might be the only one to ever read this (Hi Mom!), but you guys blows me a way. Every project I put out there the response is overwhelming. You know how to make a girl feel special! Anyway, you should know, I am glad you are here.

Now, down to business. I made another super easy and fun Valentine’s Day craft. I may or may not be obsessed at this point. Oops. This one is just fab (and it looks amazing against my new gray entry table)! It’s Paper Bag and Washi Tape Heart Bunting.

Every now and then at the grocery store I ask for paper instead of plastic. Paper bags are great to have on hand. I use them to wrap packages for mailing, wrapping presents, and now I use it to make bunting. This bunting came together so quickly. If you have 30 minutes to spare, then you have time to whip up some of your own.

Ready for a tutorial? Okay! The first thing I did was created a little template for the paper part of the bunting. I just cut a piece of card stock down to the size I wanted and traced it on my brown paper.

To make the little hearts. I taped lines to washi tape to a piece of card stock paper. This is where you can get really creative. Since there are a billion different designs of washi tape, I can only imagine the possibilities! I had these all on hand. I taped pieces of washi tape to cover the enter sheet of card stock.

After the sheet was covered, I flipped it over and traced the hearts. I just tried to fit as many as possible on the sheet.

After both my hearts and paper were traced and ready to cut, I cut out ten of each. Lastly, I glued the hearts onto the brown paper sheets then hot glued the brown paper sheets to some twine. It was seriously that easy!

Easy peasy! I love the way it looks in my entry way. Super festive over here! yay!
