Decorating For Spring: Spring Vignette

It’s been spring here in southern California for some time. I’ve been picking up beautiful flowers at the farmers market and enjoying the nice weather for quite a few weeks. Although, I’m not sure if it’s ever really cold here anyway. I know some of you still have driveways covered in snow so thinking of spring is a little far fetched but just pretend you are here with me and it’s 70 degrees okay?

Can I show you how I’m decorating for Spring?

I have a little chest in my living room that I like to decorate for holidays and seasons. It’s an easy way to freshen up my house without changing too much of the decor. If you’ve been around for awhile you’ve seen my Christmas and New Years Vignettes. Today, you’ll see my Spring Vignette.

Decorating for Spring: Spring Vignette

I’m pretty much obsessed with my new galvanized double planter. It is so fun! I popped a couple mason jars inside to make it a vase for this vignette. But I know I’ll be using it all around the house for sure!

(I always love when my favorite bloggers share exactly where their home decor items come from so I’m going to do that for you guys)

The galvanized double planter came from Home Goods and the mini bird cage came from Michaels. At the last minute I tossed in what I had left of sisal rope after my sisal rope mirror upcycle.

What’s a vignette without a chalkboard anymore? I borrowed this chalkboard from my office nook. It’s made other appearances here on the blog as well. A simple monogram in chalk is a big statement I think. In front of that is my $2.00 cloche that I love! I got the glass randomly at a thrift store one day and months later while at the swap meet I found the bottom wood part. It was so exciting! Really…!!!

Lastly, how about some moss balls? I covered some styrofoam balls in moss and put them in a hurricane. I love the green color it brings in. Just totally ties in the spring feel.

What do you think?

Decorating for spring can be so easy! I hope you can see that you don’t have to decorate your whole space for a season or holiday. Just a simple vignette can change the whole feel.

Have a great day, friends!
