Happy Tuesday! I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend with folks you love. I’ve always considered Labor Day the official “end of summer.” Typically by now all the kids are back in school, the pools begin to close, and if you don’t live in Florida maybe the temperature is even starting to drop. I’m not sure if that makes today the unofficial first day of fall but I’m going with it. The lovely Marty from A Stroll Thru Life has curated an amazing group for this year’s Fall Tour of Homes and I’m happy to be included in such a fun celebration of fall decorating!
If you are here from Our Southern Home, welcome! Isn’t Christy’s home lovely?
This year, I wanted to bring in some warmth without going too much out of my normal color scheme and overall feel. I brought in a few patterns and colors for a more cozy feel. I’m loving plaids for fall and I even brought in a small amount of traditional fall colors however, you’ll still see plenty of navy blues and white throughout.
To add a more cozy feel to my living room I added some new throw blankets and pillows like this pom pom throw and these throw pillows. Both the plaid and the ikat fabrics came from Joann Fabric. I even saw some darling plaid pillows at Target if you don’t want to make your own!
This printable is a free download that you can snag here. Truly, I love everything about fall.
Our dining area gets used every single night so decorating it like this is just for fun and for occasion. It’s really fun to change it up for the seasons.
Be sure to check out the other FIVE home tours today, then head back and check out any that you missed yesterday. There’s even more through the end of the week!
