Easy Summer [Pregnant Lady] Style

Being a mom means that the quiet moments are few and far between – Amen? Toss in a big ol’ cross country move (are you guys sick of hearing about that yet?) and that makes quiet moments non-existent. I’m finally to point where most of the boxes are unpacked (or hidden out of sight so I don’t have to think about them) so down time is actually down time, or nap time, I’m pregnant afterall 🙂
I’ve been thinking so much lately about summer and how in the world I’m going to dress up this growing belly. I’m not trendy. I like easy but I also like cute. With each season I usually grab a few new pieces that are “on trend.” This summer, I’ve felt so uninspired because hey I’m pregnant and I don’t want to spend a fortune on maternity clothes (or a size up) and because we’re in a new place and honestly, I don’t get out much! Standing in Target the other day, I decided to get out of my slump when I saw a super cute boho maxi dress (with a 20% off Cartwheel). I felt ready to get my summer style on. Naturally, I turned to the experts to gain some insight.
After flipping through the mags I realized that this summer is all about bold color and accessorizing. Hello… perfect for yours truly! I have quite a few basic dresses that I purchased at the beginning of my pregnancy with the plan to wear them all the way through. With the idea of bold accessories, that means I can accessorize what I already have and I don’t even have to buy more [maternity] clothes to be on super cute this summer. THANK YOU style Gods!
Guys, I felt so inspired to grab some bold accessories of my own. I seriously can’t wait to rock these cobalt sandals with that pink cross body bag!
And just because I can barely see my feet doesn’t mean I’m not rocking bright pink manis and pedis this summer. Pink is my favorite polish color so I was thrilled to see all of the raspberry pinks that were trending this summer!
