Fashion Friday: Four casual outfits I can’t stop wearing
Happy Friday, gals! Last night Peighton wanted to stay up with just me and I sadly had to say no because school night. I’m excited that tonight we can stay up together eat popcorn and watch a movie, just the two of us! It’s rare that we get that one on one time anymore now that she’s in Kindergarten, anytime I can steal a couple hours with just my big girl, I go for it!
I have to confess that as much as I love clothes, I don’t get ready every day. Working from home, some days the only place I go is to the school to drop off and pick up and honestly, I make that trek in yoga pants and a sweater more days than not. I’m still working on that getting up early thing so that I can have time in the morning to enjoy a quiet shower and getting ready peacefully, it doesn’t always happen. Regardless, it’s typical for me to wear something casual and comfortable during the week. I thought it might be fun to share a few outfits that I’ve been wearing on repeat the last few weeks.
A reminder: I started sharing fashion Friday posts because I love clothes and even more than that I want to inspire you! I like seeing real women of all different sizes share outfit inspiration and I hope you appreciate that too! I’m 5’2 and usually wear a size S/M 6-8.

1. Pink long sleeve tee | favorite leggings | blush sneakers – I bought this tee after many recommendations and I loved it so much that I went and bought it in white too. It’s insanely soft and comfy and I love the long length and flowy feel of it. It pairs perfectly with my favorite leggings or even jeans. I love wearing this the park with my girls, or just to run errands.
2. Gingham button up | Cardigan | Jeans (no longer available – similar but pricier here)- This button up is my favorite. I may have worn it two days in a row last weekend because it’s just that good. I’m wearing it tucked in here. I’ve also done a half tuck which I love because the back is a long and flowy. It’s perfect with all denim. I loved it with my black jeans and booties for a casual date night. If you want a staple, grab this button up! I got the cardi at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale last summer and it’s back on sale now! It comes in multiple colors and is so cozy. (This is a medium but probably should have gotten a small.)
3. Striped peplum | favorite high-waisted jeans | leopard espadrilles – Well I’ve worn this top so much I decided I better buy it in a few more colors. It’s just a great basic tee that you can quickly throw on with jeans for a pretty put together look. I’ve been searching for great high-waisted jeans and these had great recommendations. I love that they stay up and are flattering. They didn’t come in a “short” so I’ll be getting them tailored but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing them over and over and over. I feel like the leopard slides need their own blog posts to really convey how much I love them. I ordered them online after walking away from them in the store. I literally haven’t worn any other shoe since they arrived. They are perfect for spring and they make my mule-loving heart soooo happy!
4. Striped tee | blush jacket | jeans | leopard espadrilles – Can we just take a moment and gush over this jacket. I spotted it a while back and shared it on Good Stuff Saturday. It’s a great rain jacket, complete with a hood. We had some rainy/drizzly weather and I couldn’t wait to bust it out. The striped tee is another great basic that I had to have. Blue + white stripes always get my vote. And you all know… the leopard mules.
These fashion friday posts are going to be bad news for my bank account! I have six tabs open right now. Haha!!
Okay real talk – I have been wanting to try those Madewell jeans on for so long – which do you prefer, those or the Levis? I trust your judgement on comfy jeans!
Okay – I for real love them both but they are completely different. Both high waisted so they cover the bum perfectly. I think the Madewells shape my body better and lift the booty a little more. I like the levis better because they come in a “short” and the Madwells don’t so I have to get them hemmed. The Madewells aren’t super tight at the ankle and I know some people prefer that. I roll them up so I don’t mind. Pretty much they are both 10/10 for me. I wear my Levis every day and wear the Madewells when I go out. Does that make sense? I want to try a few more of the Levi washes!
