Fall Closet Staples at Walmart

Since moving to Okinawa, I have really scaled back on shopping because we just don’t have a lot of space but, the options on island are limited. Luckily, online shopping is still always available but I’ve been trying really hard to be super intentional about my choices. I’ve been buying pieces that I know will work nicely together to create a large variety of outfits. It’s giving capsule wardrobe vibes without any hard and fast rules. I found a great selection of staple fashion items at Walmart and I have to share!

I immediately gravitated towards items that feel relaxed and easy to wear but I was also intentional about grabbing pieces that I knew I could mix and match or layer as the weather cools down. My everyday wardrobe is pretty casual but I love that with these pieces you can really dress it up or down with jewelry and shoes.

Let’s talk about some of the pieces. I love the relaxed fit of this pair of denim. They look great with the oversized button up and with the camel colored shacket.

The short-sleeved sweater top is perfect for this transition into fall. It’s light enough for layering but substantial enough to wear on its own with a pair of trousers or cargo pants like these. By the way, cargo pants are back and I’m very into it.

The biggest win for me was this really beautiful maxi dress. It comes in several colors, including black, and I love how it can be worn now but it will also easily transition into fall with a sweater or jacket. It’s the perfect staple because it can easily be dressed up with heels and jewelry or you can keep it casual by pairing it with sneakers.

We also have to discuss the Walmart accessories. Don’t sleep on handbags because this one was an absolute GEM of a find. I love the structure of the bag as well as the size. It’s really elegant looking and pairing it with any of these outfits helps them to look more polished.
