Here’s life lately…

First day of 3 year old preschool | First day of 4 year old preschool

We’re just now starting to get the hang of our new normal around here. That first week coming out of summer is a bit of a doozy! Peighton started Pre-K (!!!) last week. This is her second year in preschool but obviously, first year in Pre-K. She’s so happy to be in “real” Pre-K now. I’m excited for her but sad for me and Millie. We both miss her so much during the day!

That’s what’s kind of funny about have two little ones now. I was super excited about school beginning until I realized how much the little one relies on the big one for entertainment! I thought I was going to have all of this time on my hands with only one child instead of two. Wrong wrong wrong. We’re all adjusting and it’s going great!

Last week, friends of ours gave us tickets to Sesame Street Live on base because they couldn’t use them, it was such a fun last minute treat! Fun fact about Peighton, she loves Cookie Monster. So seeing him in person was the ultimate. Even Millie was digging the whole thing!

Here’s what I’m currently obsessed with: The new Cat & Jack line at Target – everything is so cute and so affordable. I’ve literally visited three times in the last week specifically to peruse the kid clothes (and shoes – THE SHOES)! My favorite thing is that the toddler sizes are 12-months to 5T so I can finally match my girls! So fun!

We spent so much time completing our bathroom reno when we got back from Haven that we are sort of recovering a bit from DIY.

I am gearing up to give P’s room a little makeover that I’m pretty excited about! Here’s a tiny sneak peek of some a couple of things that will for sure be in her room.

This past weekend Matt had to work on Saturday, so we vowed to do something fun on Sunday for family day. We originally thought about visiting St. Simons Island, GA which is just about an hour and half from us but we got a late start to the morning so we ended up at a beach here in Jax. It was the perfect beach day! Nice a hot but the water was really refreshing.
