Christmas Cards + Minted Giveaway

One thing I love about Christmas (as if I could pick just one) is sending and receiving Christmas cards. I just love them. There’s something nostalgic about it all. In this technological age where computers are everything and we are so connected all the time, it’s nice to send and receive a good ol’ fashioned Christmas card, I think. Also, as a military family, we move so much – it’s great to catch up with old friends in this way.

Last year, in newborn baby haze, I snapped a sweet picture of Millie and Peighton at home and slapped it on a card just a week or so before Christmas and crossed my fingers that they would arrive in time. This year, I scheduled little mini photo shoot session with a fantastic local photographer and we got this great shot. Christmas card worthy in my book.

I ordered my cards from Minted.com and I spent more time than I’m willing to admit picking out the perfect card. The options are just so good.

After hours of browsing I decided on this one – it goes nicely with our black and gold themed photoshoot.

Here are some of my other favorites/top contenders. I love that Minted has so many options that don’t require a photo like that gold foil tree, so cute!

The cards came super fast and I was so impressed with the quality. The paper is nice and thick, not like a typical photo card. Also, they offer FREE envelope addressing! Can you even? What an amazing timesaver! This is made even easier with my little address book tip.

Here’s a little tip for you! Instead of keeping a paper address book (we move, and our friends move way too much for that), I keep my address book in a Google Sheets document (kind of like Excel but can be accessed anywhere). I set it up so our friends and family can fill out a form in Google like this one below.

Once they fill it out, Google saves their information in my Google spreadsheet which I was able to upload to my Minted.com address book and then have Minted print the addresses for me. Easy peasy!

This was my second year doing this and it works out beautifully! I just simply posted a quick note to my friends on Facebook and asking them to add their address or update their address if they’ve moved.

Seeing how simple this all is, I’m sure you’re prepped to order YOUR Christmas cards! I’m excited to team up with Minted.com to offer a giveaway of (3) $100 Minted.com credit. Click below to enter.
