Favorite Purchases – April

Hey gals! I hope you had a great weekend. It was a busy weekend for us with school friends which is always very fun! We had the opportunity to enjoy this gorgeous Florida weather and that was a treat. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite purchases from the month of April. I always share my weekly favorites in my Good Stuff Saturday posts but I thought it would be helpful to do a round up of the items that I’ve purchased and absolutely love. Here are my favorites from April!

Button Up Cami | This button front linen cami in the chambray color is probably my favorite purchase of all. I love this lightweight top so much. I’ve worn it with this bralette and it’s so cute with the lace detail and delicate straps peeking through. I’ve also pulled a cardigan over it with a pair of shorts. It’s a very versatile little top that I’m so happy is in my closet. I got a size small so I would size down if you’re more petite. It comes in three colors, I love the white and it’s only $35.

Tieback Peplum Tank | The cutest striped peplum is a sturdy top perfect for summer. I love it white denim or jean shorts. I wore this top a few times in Vegas and several compliments. I love the peplum and the tie back details. It comes is three prints, this blue and white stripe and then two different gingham colorways. I got a medium and found it true to size!

Tassel Beaded Bracelet | I’m loving this bracelet. Since I wear a lot of blue and white this bracelet goes with the majority of my wardrobe. I’ve been wearing it nonstop lately and it’s just adorable. It also comes in a beautiful layered necklace.

Fresh Soy Cleanser | I’ve tried this cleanser in the past but it’s pricey for me. I’m usually a drugstore face wash kind of girl but lately, I’ve been breaking out on my forehead and needed to try something new. I got this during the Sephora sale and it’s completely cleared my face right up. I use it morning and night. In the morning in the shower and at night I use it with my Mia cleansing brush. My face feels so soft and smooth afterward. I love this cleanser! Other beauty items I’m loving right now are this mascara and this concealer.

Wedges | Go-to wedges for the summer. I love the tan leather. They are a super comfortable platform that I could wear all day and I’m not much of a heels person (I prefer my Birkenstocks and flip-flops). These are just so effortless, they go with everything and can dress up any sundress so you’re date ready. If you’re looking for some summer heels, I recommend these.

Striped Sundress | I shared this blue and white striped flare dress for Good Stuff Saturday a few weeks back and guys, it’s so good. It’s on sale right now for only $21. I think that’s a great deal for a comfy dress. I ordered a medium and found it true to size. I loved that it comes lined so it’s not see thru at all. I love it with these wedges and a statement necklace for a day date but I’ve also worn it running around with the girls in sneakers so it’s very versatile.

$14 Aviator Sunnies | I’m such a sucker for a good pair of sunnies. I snagged these for Vegas at just $14. They are oversized, sturdy, and super cute. I got the black pair shown above but I also like the gradient brown pair. For just $14 (free shipping), these are must for summer!

Pink Travel Tote | I grabbed this bag for our trip to Vegas last month. It ended up being the perfect carry-on bag. It fit everything I needed for myself and the girls for our long flight. I had my computer, camera, girls tablets, my wallet, toiletries, and a ziploc bag full of activities for each of the girls. This is now my go-to bag for traveling near and far. I’ve even been carrying it to the coffee shop when I work from there. It comes in a bunch of colors I love the navy one too. It’s a quality piece that will last for sure. I love the metal feet at the bottom of the bag which keeps it from getting nasty when sitting on the floor of airports. 🙂

I’d love to hear your favorite recent purchases! What have you picked up recently that you LOVE?

#ad Homeschool/General parent “pro” tip - buy #ad Homeschool/General parent “pro” tip - buy a shower caddy and stuff it full of art supplies to keep your kids from having their markers and crayons all over the place. For real though, this was a game changer. Previously, I had one hard and heavy caddy for all of our supplies that I would plop on the table during our school day but I found my kids constantly getting up to grab a pink crayon or the blue marker. Or at the end of the day things weren’t getting put away properly and the next day we couldn’t find the glue or the scissors. Now, they each have a caddy that they are responsible for. I’ve partnered with @walmart to share this simple organizing solution. The girls keep their supplies together and carry the caddy around to wherever they choose to school that day/minute. I used my Walmart+ membership again to pull this off. I was able to order all the art caddy necessities online using the W+ free shipping, no order minimum (excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items) benefit so I can limit my time in stores. #walmartplus
Sitting here thinking about everything that’s go Sitting here thinking about everything that’s gotten me through this last year.
1. My family - having my girls home has been everything I never knew I needed.
1a. My mom - in those early pandemic days, when we didn’t leave the house, she would meet me halfway between here and Vegas. We would sit in the middle of the desert with our masks on and just visit. I needed that so much and I know she did too.
2. My friends - it’s hard to imagine making it through this year without the friendships I have. They’ve carried me. A small group of neighbors here that would meet at the park for some outdoor fellowship and our weekly dinners made life feel a little more normal. Having regular calls with my best friend in FL was gold especially since we can’t see each other. And regular chats with @bykaithanson got me through especially in those early days.
3. Regular therapy - if I wasn’t already going before all this happened I surely would need to now. This all is very heavy stuff and having someone that is outside your circle to talk to is so important. This saves me again and again.
4. Making bread. I started making last year so when it blew up during that first quarantine I was so excited that we all were baking together. Whenever I’m feeling anxious making dough helps.
5. Exercise - this was the year I finally made exercise a priority. I love how much better I feel when I move my body each day. I’m less anxious and I’m more at peace.
6. All the technology that connects us. Marco Polo, FaceTime, texting, FB Messenger, all of it. Being able to reach all of my loved ones with the tips of my fingers has made it a lot easier when I can’t see them.
7. Television - how many shows have we binged this year? I don’t even know but I remember tackling Friday Night Lights in the beginning of the pandemic and being so sad it was over.
8. This community. One thing I wanted in 2020 was to CONNECT with you all here and that has happened and its been wonderful getting to know each of you!
💙
We’ve been through a lot this year what has carried you? Tag a friend that’s gotten you through.
Hoping and praying for a truly happy new year. 💙💙
