This truly is my favorite season of all. I’m especially excited for this home tour because this is really a first glimpse of our home since we moved in last month. There have been lots of changes since I shared the “before” here on the blog!
If you are visiting from Rain on a Tin Roof, WELCOME! Jenna is a gem and I just love her!
A tiny bit about our home – we are still settling in after buying (!!!) our house here in Florida just over two months ago. We’re a military family so we move around quite a bit and have rented for the last nine years. We’re so happy to be celebrating our first Christmas in a home that we own!
On to the decor, I really wanted a classic Christmas look this year so you’ll see lots of reds, whites, and metallics in my decor. Starting with my gold accented wreath.
I dressed up our West Elm knock off entry stand with some festive decor.
I especially love this sign and driftwood star – both of which I found at Home Goods.
I really have a thing for mini Christmas trees this year so you’ll see a few of them throughout my home.
A view into our living room area. I traded in the blue plaid pillows for some more festive ones. This FA LA LA one from Target is one of my favorites.
I like to mix faux greens with fresh ones so I used faux garland here but added fresh greens to the pitcher.
Looking to the opposite side of our living room you can see our tree near the fireplace just behind this chair. How cute is this pillow? It’s another Home Goods find that I had to have.
I have never had a fireplace so it was so fun to actually have one this Christmas! I truly enjoyed decorating it although I did keep it quite simple.
I think the wood rose wreath above the fireplace is a gorgeous statement. It contrasts so nicely with the fresh greens.
My tree this year is much different than last year’s because I incorporated so much red. I also enjoyed added larger scale items to the tree, I think it creates a perfect balance. I was really worried that my tree would be too small in this space but it turned out to be a perfect fit.
You’ll see tons of decorative ornaments on our tree but you’ll also see personal keepsakes like this red bulb ornament that my husband gave me on our first Christmas married.
The fresh cut trees sign made another appearance this year! I can’t believe it’s been three years since I made this sign and shared the tutorial here on the blog. We’ve come a long way, baby!
The most magical thing about this season is seeing my daughter enjoy it. You can see little traces of her throughout our home decor, usually in the form of legos or drawings but I had to snap a photo of a little vignette inspired by her. As she was sitting near the tree playing with ribbon and felt balls – it just captured the reality of this holiday season.
I’ll leave you with my favorite photo of all, our tree at night. Is there anything better? I hope you are enjoying this season as much as I am.

Next up on the home tour is Jeanette’s home, from Snazzy Little Things. She’s got one GORGEOUS home tour to share with you!
