Spring Floral Door Hanging
Hey there friends – I hope you are having a great week so far!
Now, I am not sure if it was the 80 degree weather or the fact that Punxsutawney Phil declared there would be an early spring but, I thought it was time to put together a spring door hanging.
I wanted to do something different than a traditional spring wreath this time. Inspired by beautiful spring floral arrangements and some lovely spring door hangings, I decided to do a spring floral door hanging for the season.
I had this hanging planter sitting my garage. It was a clearance grab from Home Goods from months ago. I spray painted it white and sanded around the edges a little. I like the fresh look.
I love these silk flowers I grabbed from Michaels on clearance last week. The colors are so bright and cheerful.
I arranged them in the hanging planter. They totally say spring don’t you think? And if the flowers were enough, I added these chalkboard sticks with the words “hello spring,” for an extra spring-y touch! To hang the whole piece I used a strip of burlap tied in a little bow.
I love the look of this sweet floral door hanging. I love that it’s different from a typical wreath. And it is so bright and fresh which, to me, is so very spring-ish.
What do you think? Do you like my non-traditional spring door hanging?
Have you created something to decorate your door for spring yet?
Love it Chelsea! Your always have such great ideas for the front door. This one is so fresh and spring-y looking. I especially like the little chalkboard sticks. It’s just adorable. One question though, will the chalk wash off in the rain?

I love it. What a great alternative to a wreath! I may have to go digging around the garage to see what I can re-purpose. =)
