A Simple Centerpiece for Mom

Hey friend – I hope you are having a great week.

I have a cute little DIY idea to share today as Mother’s Day is drawing near. My favorite thing about Mother’s Day is that it’s a special reminder that I have the most important and best job in the world. The homemade cards and breakfast in bed sure are nice but I just love the celebration of motherhood most of all.

If you are planning any sort of Mother’s Day get-togethers, I want to show you a quick way to create a simple Mother’s Day centerpiece.

Thanks to Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart for sponsoring this post. The favorable opinions of super cute and helpful organization items are 100% my own. For your convenience, there are affiliate links below. It starts out with grocery store flowers and this Better Homes and Gardens utensil caddy from Walmart.

  1. I filled the caddy with random jars I had around the house to hold the flowers.
  2. I started filling in the caddy with the larger flowers.
  3. I filled in the centerpiece with the filler flowers.
  4. I added a few sprigs of greenery to fill in any holes.

The floral centerpiece took just about ten minutes to put together. Next, I wanted to add some personalized elements. I laid out a black paper runner and added personal photos to it. All of the photos have to do with the moms in my life. They are images of me with my girls, my girls with their grandma, even old photos of my grandma when she was baby.

I coupled the centerpiece with some of my favorite melamine dishwares because where there are mothers, there are also children. These plates are a steal at $10 for 6. 🙂
