Instagram Photo Display from a Cabinet Door

Can we talk about my love for Instagram? I’m obsessed. I love going through my old Instagram feed and seeing pictures of when my baby was a tiny baby, holidays past, and fun finds. A few weeks ago, I had some of my favorite Instagram photos printed via Printstagram. I had about 40 mini square printed and I couldn’t wait to display them somehow. So I decided this would be the perfect time to repurpose one of the cabinet doors I scooped up recently, and created an Instagram photo display.Repurposed Cabinet Instagram Photo Display

Please forgive me, this isn’t going to be a full on tutorial. I neglected to take a before picture, and well there are really one two steps.

Repurposed Cabinet Instagram Photo Display

I grabbed a few old cabinet doors from Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore a few months ago.

One of them was perfect for my Instagram Photo Display.

I painted one of them a shade of mint. A shade lighter than the color I used for my mint nightstand. Then I spray painted the hinges gold, quick and easy! Lastly, I hot glued these adorable shabby chic style clothes pins to the cabinet. (I got the clothes pins from Michaels a few months back.)Repurposed Cabinet Instagram Photo Display

You all know how much I love a quick project, this one is about as quick and easy as them come (after the painting of course). I love the way my Instagram photos look now. Much better than having them in a little pile on my desk 🙂Repurposed Cabinet Instagram Photo DisplayI’ve got my new Instagram photo display on top of my dresser. Since the photos I printed are mostly of my little lady, it makes waking up in the morning such a joy, looking at her in these little photos makes me smile.

Are you on Instagram? I love connecting with my readers on there, you can find me here. And I’d love to know, have you printed your Instagram prints yet? How are you displaying them in your home?

  2. Chelsea,

I was just in my local reStore yesterday and there were lots of cabinet doors…what a great idea to use them for instagram photos (I am a huge fan of Instagram too!) I love how easy this project is and how cute it is…great choice with the mint color. Thanks for linking up at the Inspiration Gallery!

  6. Really like this! We have recently found a Restore by us and…WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? 🙂 I love printing IG pics bc they are so mini…and they completely take me back to that moment captured in time. I just bought a little square tin (very shallow, like will hold 20 or so IG pics) and I think I’m going to wrap some up and decorate the tin and send it off to my mom who is half way across the country. I did just get a magnet made out of an IG print to try out and I really.really.really like it! I did it through Shutterfly…and it is delightful! 🙂
