Kids Playroom Ideas – Playroom Inspo for Girls
Now that the closet is behind us, and thank you for all the positive feedback, we’re ready to tackle the next project on the list. The kids’ playroom is a real disaster. I’ve tried multiple times to get it together but what it needs is a massive overhaul. We need more storage beyond the 8-cube storage we currently have. Peighton’s dresser that is now empty, thanks to our new closet organizer, needs to be moved out. The girls need a play table for crafts and homework. I’m going full steam ahead to pull off this playroom makeover before summer is out. I’m excited to share some of my kids’ playroom ideas with you starting with the inspiration I’m going with.
For the kids playroom, the main storage area we’re planning to add are these IKEA ALEX drawer units. I like these drawers as an option because the girls now have collections of very small toys like Shopkins and Littlest Pet Shops. The smaller drawers are better suited for storage of small items, leaving the bigger baskets for larger items like doll accessories and Barbies. Placing the ALEX units on either side of a bench will create a cute little seating area for the girls.
I found this bentwood children’s table that I absolutely love. It comes with four stools. I love that it’s wood and can take a beating from the kids.
Another thing I’m excited about in this playroom makeover is the replacement of the ceiling fan. I’m adding this darling scalloped flush mount.
You can see the sources of all these items below and you can be sure that I will be sharing the progress of the space. Have a great Wednesday!
Just came across your blog today and I’m really enjoying it! My daughter recently picked that same art print for her room, and I like how you’ve paired it with the other colorful items. I might have to steal a few of those ideas!
