My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites – What I Bought, Kept, and Returned

Hey friends – My favorite sale of the year is alive and kicking and I can’t stop shopping it. It opened to the public last week and will go on through August 6th. You can see my picks for clothing, accessories, shoes, kids, and home in this post. Today, I want to share with you the things I bought. Some of them I am utterly obsessed with and some didn’t work out as well. So I’m calling this post…

What I Bought, Kept, and Returned at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

A few things that I loved:

Every year, I buy myself a pair of Kate Spade earrings during the sale. They are usually marked way down and seriously they are so darn cute. I ended up getting these dangly ball drop earrings this year and I absolutely love them. They’re not too heavy so I can wear them for hours.

I went into the same knowing I would be getting some denim. I had been way overdue for a new pair of jeans. These jeans ended up being my very favorite (only $45!!!). They have thick waist that keeps your tummy nice and flat and seriously, I love it. They are insanely comfy and I’ve been wearing them nonstop.

Some other items I loved were these distressed boyfriend jeans, perfect for running around. I can throw them on with a tee and drop the girls off at school while looking put together but also being comfy. I also loved this herringbone blazer. It’s a great price for such a quality closet staple. The bell sleeve sweater is another absolute fave. I can’t wait to wear it this fall. And these cute glittery mary jane shoes for Millie. You can see all of my purchase and keeps below.

The thing I was most excited to receive was this Tory Burch wrap watch. I splurge on it as a late birthday gift to myself but it didn’t work for me. The luggage colored band was too close to my skin tone so it sort of looked like I had a gold coin floating on my wrist. Also, since I’m a lefty, the watch wraps a little weird on the right hand. I returned it. I considered grabbing the navy color instead but I still don’t like the way it wraps on the right wrist. If you are a left wrist watch wearer, this is the perfect watch.

Another thing I was excited about was this bow sleeve sweater in burgundy. This is legitimately the softest sweater. I loved the color and the fit but once I got it home, I realized the washing instructions are hand wash. I try to keep my laundry routine rather simple. Typically even if something is hand wash, I’ll throw it in the machine and just run it on delicate but with the bows on the sleeves, I didn’t wan’t to take any chances.

Overall, I’m loving all of my purchases and there are even a couple things I’m still thinking about. These booties are darling and I love the gray. Also, this cardigan is supposed to be the coziest cardigan of all cardigans. Do you have it?

What was your favorite purchase from the sale or what you most excited about?
