Color Block Recipe Box Recycle

Hi ya friends! I’m finally getting back into the swing of things. I have a long list of projects to complete (anyone else?). I was sluggish getting back to my routine but I’m so glad to be chipping away at my project “to do” list.

You all know how much I love a good recycle. It’s so much fun finding new uses for something old. Today, I have another little recycle project to share. My fun recipe box turned color block “anything” box.

A few weeks ago I was out thrifting with a friend and I scooped up an old recipe box for $.50. A steal for a cute little wood box.

I already have a recipe box but this little box I knew this box had the potential to be anything I wanted. So home it came!

Of course I wanted to update it and color blocking is so trendy right now. I thought this would be a really fun project to do a little color blocking, so I spray painted the whole thing white, then painted the top of the box, aqua. I love aqua…
Recycle an old recipe box into a stylist multipurpose box ready for use anywhere!

Since I wasn’t necessarily in need of a new recipe box I decided to add a chalkboard label to the front so that it can be used anywhere in the house.

The chalkboard label is so fun because now I can use it for anything, not just recipes! I’m thinking it will be great for storing craft supplies… ehem, washi tape 🙂

I love a good recycle. This whole project cost less than $2.00 and I know it will get great use!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today! I hope you have a wonderful, Thursday!
