Thanks to The Home Depot for sponsoring this post.

I always have those people in my life that I’m just not sure what to buy for them. Every year I wait until the last minute to come up with the most perfect, thoughtful gift, then I end up going and buying them a coffee mug and calling it good. Tell me I’m not alone in this!

This year I came up with a gift idea that I think anyone will enjoy!

I love it because it’s something you can totally personalize for anyone!

The paint “dipped” kitchen utensils were so easy to make and paired with some cute recipe cards, they make the perfect gift, even for the person who has everything!

Painted Utensils

To make, I purchased some wooden utensils then ran out to Home Depot for some supplies:

Wooster Pro 3-Pack Brushes

3M Universal Surface Painter’s Tape

I also used craft paint that I already had on hand.

Step one, tape off the end of your utensils with painter’s tape. I placed the tape about two inches from the end of the wood utensils. I just kind of eyeballed it. When placing the tape be sure that it goes all the way around and is even where it meets, to avoid any wonky lines.

From the Wooster PRO 3 Pack set of brushes I used the angled 1 in brush. It was perfect for getting good coverage and the angle even allowed me to get into the small hole on the handle.

Just two coats of paint and a short dry time and they were done. I carefully removed the painter’s tape and bundled them together with ribbon.

To complete the gift set, I paired them with some cute recipe cards I created, then also added in a kitchen towel. Won’t this make a cute gift for the chef in your life, the hostess of your annual Christmas party, or even your neighbor?paint dipped kitchen utensils and free recipe cards

Don’t forget to download the FREE recipe card printable! Tip: when printing, print four to page, that makes them the perfect size.
