I’m a firm believer in the art of gift basket-ing. They can be as expensive or as cheap as you’d like. They’re appropriate for all occasions. You can tailor them to specific recipients or make them generic. They also look fabulous. Are you with me? Everyone can use a spa day. If you can’t send your friend to the spa, give her the next best thing: all the things for a spa day at home. Similar to the wine night gift basket – package together the fixing to make your favorite drink cocktail. You can include some spirits, a shaker, some glasses, coasters, and a bottle opener. My favorite basket is the moscow mule basket: ginger beer, vodka, copper mugs, paper straws, a bottle opener and limes. It’s so simple and you can pick up most of the items at Target.
Pasta Dinner Basket
We made this basket for Matt’s co-worker last year and they simply loved it. I think it’s because it takes the guesswork out of meal planning even if it’s just for one day. This is a simple basket that’s basics includes pasta and pasta sauce in a strainer as the basket. I like to also include fresh bread and artisan olive oil. You can make this as simple or as elaborate as you’d like.
