Girls Book Nook

Spaces are starting to come together in our new home in Twentynine Palms and I can’t wait to share some full room reveals but today, I’m thrilled to share this little corner of our girls’ bedroom.

The girls have shared a room for several years now. Since moving, we have one less bedroom so it made even more sense to keep them in a shared room. Since they share a bedroom, we keep all of their toys in the playroom. This way, their actual bedroom is used for sleeping and quiet time. It stays fairly tidy except for the stack of books that collect on the dresser or beside the bed.

When Walmart asked if we’d like to to receive some pieces from the new Flower Kids line, I knew right away I’d create a little book nook for the girls. Walmart has collaborated with Drew Barrymore to create a fun and vibrant line for kids called Flower Kids. It’s full of adorable yet, affordable pieces for kid spaces!

I ordered three of these Color Wave Ledge Shelves. They come in six vibrant colors and white. I selected the white ones. I love the playfulness of the wave on these shelves. Such a fun spin on the traditional ledge shelf. They were easy to install and I love that we can use them for books now but swap that out for framed photos later.

Another thing their room was missing was a lamp. I encourage the girls to take quiet time throughout the day and the lamp creates a calm setting as opposed to the harsh ceiling light. I found this darling floor lamp in the Flower Kids collection. The girls and I love the pom detail and the fun aqua color.

Drew Barrymore Flower Kids at Walmart is full of fun and colorful pieces for kid spaces. Here are a few of my favorite things from the collection.
