Hey and welcome to MHB Florida House!

We bought our home here in Florida in October of 2015, about six months after moving to Jacksonville. I’ve completely fallen in love with the River City and can’t imagine living anywhere else again. Unfortunately, we are at the whim of the Navy so moving is almost inevitable. Until it’s time to pack up again, we will continue to make this cute brick house our home. We bought this house as a foreclosure and it was a major diamond in the rough. If you could just see past the purple walls and stained carpet, there was a gem there. Over the last few years, we’ve been doing project after project to uncover that gem. My style is coastal casual. I love decorating with blues and white and anything that reminiscent of being at the beach. I like decorating on a budget so there are many DIY projects and steals and deals throughout our home with the occasional splurge on something I really adore. Our home is liveable and if you drop in on any given day you’ll see toys in every room, a trail of cheerios or goldfish, and a big ol’ fluffy dog waiting to greet you. While our home might not be a designer’s masterpiece, it’s definitely our favorite place to be.
