Where to buy Temporary Wallpaper (Removable Wallpaper)

Modern wallpaper is a great way to showcase style in your home. There are many beautiful temporary wallpaper options around the web.

If you want to add an element of elevated design to your space, modern wallpaper is a really great option. I love wallpaper in entryways, bathrooms, on the inside of bookshelves, and even as accent walls. I can think of three walls in my home right now that I’d love to cover with wallpaper (guest bathroom, I’m looking at you). I struggle with a permanent solution such as wallpaper because this is not our forever home. If you’re like me, and love the look of wallpaper but aren’t ready to commit. Let me introduce to you, temporary wallpaper!

The Best Sources for Temporary Wallpaper

Home Office Reveal

Take this accent wall as an example. When I revamped my office (see office details and sources here) last year, I opted to add temporary wallpaper along the back wall as a perfect backdrop. When I first started blogging, temporary wallpaper consisted of stripes (see grid stripes in my bedroom) and dots, now it’s full blown murals and beautiful patterns that look just like any other wallpaper.

I’ve searched high and low for beautiful temporary wallpaper options and to save you some time from the time warp that is searching for products online, I’m sharing my top sources for temporary wallpaper. Seriously, I’ve been down the temporary wallpaper rabbit hole more than once in the last few days – I can’t get enough of all the pretty patterns!

Tip* One thing I have noticed is that wallpaper is not cheap. If you can find a paper that is removable AND reusable, consider that especially if it’s for just a short time. Also, if you find a wallpaper that you love that you can’t stop thinking about but would really love a temporary option, I found this incredible idea for making any wallpaper removable wallpaper. It might be just the trick!

  4. I live in an apartment and if I ever move I will need to remove the wallpaper. What residue does it leave behind and how hard is it to get rid of?

    1. Hi Sally, no residue at all. I’ve put it up in multiple rooms and have pulled it down with little effort and no residue. Getting ready to put it up in a couple rooms in our new house too! Hope that helps!

  6. Have you ever had a problem with removable wallpaper not sticking? I attempted application with another a brand (not listed) and I cannot get it to stick. Which brand have you had the most success with when sticking was a question? Thanks!

    1. Hi Natalie. I’ve used Walls Need Love several times and they stick really well. I recently got wall decals from this retailer on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/urbanwalls and they’ve stuck nicely as well. I would just make sure you are following their specific instructions and then reach out to they if you are having trouble.
