Best of 2013 – Favorite Projects and Posts

I’ve been spending some time looking through the past year here on the blog. It’s amazing to see everything that happens in a year. While the bulk of everything that goes on here is projects, there’s a little life tossed in too. You can see so much growth in me, my photography (thank goodness), in my daughter (who was only 5 months old when this blog began), in everything.

The Best of Making Home Base 2013

If you’re like me you are wondering where the heck 2013 went to? It seems like yesterday I waiting on the pier for my husband to come home from deployment and now he’s been home for six months! Our daughter isn’t a baby anymore, she’s a real toddler, with spunk and so much personality. And in a year, our little military base house has come so far. It’s really becoming that home base I dreamed about when I started this journey, and this blog!

And since I’m reminiscing, I thought I would recap your favorite (most viewed) projects and posts from 2013.

It’s really interesting to see which projects “take off.” Some of them are some of my favorites too and then some of them are ones I almost didn’t even share but I’m so glad I did 🙂

Looking back, my favorite post is hands down the one where I shared my husband’s homecoming. The best day right there. And really, it’s been one incredible year and much of that is because of this blog and because of YOU. Thank you so much for reading, Instagramming with me, hanging out with me on Facebook, just and allowing me to have a place to share!

Going into 2014, I hope to share a little more about life mixed in with the DIY madness that is already here. I know I enjoy reading a little more about my favorite bloggers and getting to know them a little deeper than paint colors and projects, and I’d like to do that here.

On that note, may you have a happy and blessed New Year! I’ll be back after the 1st!

Want more end of the year round ups? Some of my favorite bloggers are sharing their “Best of 2013” posts too! If you’re in the mood to be inspired, you don’t want to miss these posts. Check them out below.
